Tasha-Ann’s Journey to Health and Wellness

Submitted by: Kimmie

A while back my ongoing health struggles with RA and Fibromyalgia were really stressing me out, and a friend from church reached out to talk with me and encourage and inspire me. Here is her story:

My name is Tasha-Ann Yamasta. I have been serving others in the Health and wellness industry for over a year. My primary goal is to help as many people as I can get on track to a healthier lifestyle.

My journey started when I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia In 2015. In 2014 I had an emergency C section with my third and final child. Because of the surgery, I had some killer pain meds. I never felt better. I cut them in half to keep them as long as possible. When they ran out, that was it. My doctor would not refill at all.

When I was out of pain meds, I walked hunched over for weeks. I was in pain head to toe. It felt like someone put me in the dryer with a bunch of rocks. I was so sensitive. I was also weak and didn’t like to hold my child if I was not sitting, in fear of dropping her.

At my six week post op appointment with my doctor, I went in and cried. I asked for pain meds and she said to take Ibuprofen. I told her it was not enough and that I really think I have fibromyalgia. She said, if I did, it would make perfect sense as to why my incision was in so much pain. (The nerves are trying to grow back together and heal). She immediately made an appointment with the Rheumatologist. I am so blessed that they both took me seriously. Dealing with an invisible disease is very difficult. I had a smile but was dying inside. It was depressing and such a struggle to live life.

I had suffered for more than 20 years at that point and had no idea why. As I had gotten older, the pain worsened. I really thought it was age but It turned out to be much more than that.

So after my diagnoses I went to the doctor often, and there was no help at all. I was told I needed to lose weight (duh!) and take Ibuprofen. The symptoms of Fibromyalgia are very long and they mimic other autoimmune diseases such as Lupus. I had blood work done to rule everything you can out. No explanation but Fibromyalgia. Since I was not given any pain medication, I researched intensely in homeopathic remedies, and believe it or not, everything was pointing to Food and gut health. So this is where I started. I changed my eating habits and have noticed that my quality of life is 90% better. I realized I was actually sabotaging myself constantly with the food I was consuming. Sugar, bread, gluten, all had a negative affect on my health.

Ultimately, I was healed by the Lord from the Chronic pain. I do not credit this program for healing me. However, I was still dealing with the symptoms and this program has really helped me gain energy, lose weight and stay on track.

As a result, I now know the importance of health and nutrition. I understand how it greatly aids in healing of your life. I am on a mission to spread the knowledge. I now encourage others to do the same. I have a very people friendly, simple to duplicate program that I share with any and everyone who wants help with losing weight, gaining energy, build lean muscle and more. If you are ready to change to a healthier lifestyle, but lack accountability, encouragement, motivation, or the tools, then a health and wellness coach is exactly what you need to get started. I hope to be the one to join you on your journey to a healthier lifestyle.

With lots of love, Coach Tasha-Ann
